The intention of this class is deep relaxation, which is performed in a gently warmed room. Initially, you are guided through gentle movement with the purpose of stretching the body and calming the mind. Guided breathwork and visualization is utilized as you melt into restorative postures, supported by blankets & bolsters, to further relax and release deeply held tensions and stress. This a donation-based class, either monetary or food, benefitting The Bedford Food Pantry
Join Alyssa Milot Travers, Ph.D. for this 8-week series created just for middle school kids! They will have the opportunity to connect with their bodies in a healthy way and learn tools and techniques to manage stress and anxiety as well as have fun with their friends!
Dr. Alyssa Travers is a local psychologist and certified yoga teacher (RYT-200). She has over ten years of experience working with children, teens, and young adults. Dr. Travers has a particular passion in creating yoga practices for teens to not only support their physical health, but also the development of important life skills including self-awareness, confidence, gratitude, and overall stress management. In addition to her yoga certification, Dr. Travers earned master's and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology with a particular focus on adolescent mental health. *Minimum 6/ Maximum 15
